Transport Malta (Part 1)Apart from having the school's timetable being a complete disaster the bus timetable is getting even worse. I am waking up at 5.30 a.m. to get in time for the 8 a.m. lecture. I am literally waking up looking like a zombie. No breakfast therefore I make a coffee, put it in the Costa Coffee Mug and grab a packet of crackers and anything handy to eat on the bus (even though there's the sign of no eating or drinking on the bus). Prepare the sandwich and leave. I do not know what's going on. Traffic has increased or maybe more people are losing their patience using public transport or something but the amount of cars situated in the south of Malta is insane. The traffic in Fgura and Paola seems to have increased. The 91 route is taking me an hour to get from Marsaskala to Valletta where I then have to catch another bus from Valletta to Mosta, (talk about me looking like a zombie). Some people stop in Floriana so they don't have to go in Valletta but that is out of the question for me since firstly sometimes the bus gets full-up from the Valletta Terminus and secondly I try to avoid the people's chaotic life since mine is enough to deal with. I heard that the bus timetables have changed but for now the Marsaskala Routes all seem to follow the same time frame. What I do suggest that Transport Malta should do is to ADD MORE BUSES and DECREASE THE FARES!! If they want the traffic to reduce, they need to do something about the public transport but clearly nothing is happening since everywhere, every time and everyone is stuck in traffic. Maybe they should try implementing Schon's reflective method into their company, who knows it might enlighten their minds with new solutions...
